JEE Main 2021 May Session Exam Postponed: Education Minister Announced
With the second wave of COVID-19 affecting everyone badly, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to postpone the JEE Main May 2021 (Session 4) exam for now.
India’s Education Minister, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal, has informed about the postponement on his Twitter handle. He tweeted that “Looking at the present situation of COVID-19 and keeping students’ safety in mind, JEE (Main) – May 2021 session has been postponed. Students are advised to keep visiting the official website of NTA for further updates”.
Here’s the link to the tweet:
JEE Main April and May sessions were scheduled to be conducted from 27th to 30th April and 24th to 28th May. NTA will release the revised dates subsequently. Also, with the rapid surge in the number of Covid-19 cases, the release of the application form for the May session has also been delayed by the NTA.
Last year, a similar situation arose when the JEE Main April session was postponed for a significant duration due to the lockdown imposed in the country.
In 2021, NTA decided to conduct JEE Main in four sessions for the first time. February and March sessions have already been conducted successfully, and the result for both sessions was also declared.
How to prepare for the remaining JEE Main sessions?
As the exams are expected to be postponed, the preparation of aspirants might take a backseat. It’s crucial to keep the preparations going, despite all that’s been happening around us.
At times, students take a casual approach when they get some extra time for preparation, leading to a non-satisfactory performance on the D-day.
So, it would help if you kept yourself motivated and did not allow yourself to become complacent. The question arises as to how you can keep the fervour up and go ahead with your preparations.
Here’s how you can prepare for the exam during these tough times:
- Solving JEE Main previous year papers is one of the best options to keep abreast with the preparation. They help a lot in helping you understand the exam pattern, type of questions, and the weightage of the questions.
- Secondly, taking JEE Main mock tests helps a lot to get the real feel of the exam. Mock tests prepare you for the actual exam and provide you with much-needed practice before the exam arrives.
Champs, please keep yourself as these are some testing times we’re going through while ensuring your preparation doesn’t get affected. All the best for the exam!
